Grounded Coffee

We met Brae's friend Cannon at this coffee shop!
We had fun, lets putting this way,
we all survived our coffee shop experience

Thrilled to see Brae sitting for almost 3 minutes!

Georgetown Cupcakes

Ian had only one request....
and it was the day before he was leaving:
We drove in and out Georgetown
just to see what was the hype all about:
IT WAS SICK!

There was even a line outside when we got there

He seriously just woke up to go
get these cupcakes
-because we were all awake-

Well, some cupcakes made it
or at least the frosting didn't...
that tells you about the driver...
(and I wasn't driving)

A split second

He's such a happy boy,
especially when he's let free.....

Enjoying getting on & off the chair

Mt Vernon

Out....
We have worn Ian out.
We took him to Mt Vernon at 3:00pm...
yes it was very hot & very humid.
But "somebody" (Brae) enjoyed himself
running in the grassy fields

At the entrance

Enjoying the indoors.
We knew we were about to go for a walk

GW Tomb

Waiting for our House Tour
We actually did the tour with Brae.
He did so good...
(with the help of the "Coconuts" - some new videos he likes now)

What a backyard!

Trying to make him sit

Enjoying what keeps us up at night

WE SURVIVED!!!
Leaving Mt Vernon

Old Town Alexandria

We were lucky it didn't rain on us

There was a nice breeze

Happy to be with my cousin Ian at the Pier

At the Plaza

Happy Meal

Although I think I should monetize on this post,
I'm a proud parent and will up load a Mickey D's
picture w/o any profit.
We had lunch at Mc D's after spending the whole day in the city.
Brae only ate half of the hamburger & now
I can see why kids don't eat the
meat, its terrible.
But Brae loves the french fries, even if these french fries have a
some sort of hydrolyzed milk as an ingredient.
Some research has proven this type of milk to decrease
eczema in infants, which could be a symptom for allergies.
Who would have known?

No allergic reactions!!

The Mall

After our Capitol Tour...

Brae looks as if he's very excited, but in reality
he was getting very very restless
& wanted to get out of the stroller

Ian didn't feel like going to the Botanic Gardens...
& our allergies thanked him

At the American History Museum
All Brae wanted was to push the stroller &
with NO help...
I let him push the stroller a couple of times,
but when I stopped him...............
the WHOLE museum knew about it!

Missing even I-10

US Capitol Tour

As tired as we were all from a
sleepless night (Brae was up several times at night)
We couldn't pass the opportunity to go to the Capitol tour.
We almost took the metro, but instead, we got dropped off and
picked up...only the best for our nephew!

Cloudy DC

Our ticket

waiting for our tour

What is Brae looking at?
Little Einsteins, well that was later in the day

The Capitol Dome

Attentive listeners!
Seems like only two of us are enjoying the tour...
I don't know about Brae

At
The Rotunda

RFK Stadium

The RFK was part of our driving tour...

The DC United usually plays at night...
and nights are not the best around this area,
besides with Brae's schedule,
this outting is out of our league

The 4th

Just the greatest!
We found out last minute about this great place
to go watch fireworks.
We ended up driving to MD to a Military Base

Getting there

There was a nice path just along the water
(we all wore our 4th of July Tee's)

We were so unprepared, just like any other time.
We didn't bring chairs with us but it was still
the coolest 4th of July

It was great to see the fireworks, although from a distance,
you could really appreciate them
with out the crowds and smoke

Doc's B-Day!

We went to Doc's Birthday Party
at a great park on Sunday.

Tossing the ball

Curious about the gate.
Brae is not shy, he just walks up to kids &
starts talking to them

Running around with them all

It was hot!
Brae found this little chair and
called dibs on it!

Site Seeing in DC

This time, we went to Museums & Memorials

Washington M
(Brae and I waited outside the WM while
I chased Brae who was chasing the little birds)

On our way to the S. M. Air and Space M
(Brae took his shoes off)

Too far to walk, so we
got dropped off at the Lincoln M
(while Dad cleaned up Brae's puke from crying
so hard because Ian and I got off the car)

On our way...

...to the White House!

Never too early for Brae,
but it was for Ian

It wasn't crowded at all

Ian was able to hold Brae for 2 seconds!

Bribing Brae

Phones are very convincing
